Microsoft Lumia 550 Review

Microsoft Lumia 550 is a nice Windows device released back in 2015, packed with a great performance processing unit running at 1.1 gigahertz, a 4.7-inches touch-screen, a 5 MP back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. That's all? No, it's only the introduction of this in-depth review.

This device is offerred in two different color options, black and white. This phone is only 5.36 inches long, but it's still able to fit a a 4.7 inches display. The Microsoft Lumia 550 is incredibly thin, with a thickness of just 0.39 inches. Talking about its aspect, this phone is mostly created with plastic. It seems like Microsoft forgot about weight optimization in this 5.01 ounces cellphone.

The Microsoft Lumia 550 has an awesome 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.7" display, providing this device with a very detailed image quality. Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

Microsoft sells this cellphone with a fast CPU ticking at 1.1 gigahertz, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 8909 chip and 1 GB RAM. A good point of the Lumia 550 is the 8 GB quite large internal memory and an SD extension slot, which allows you to install a couple hundred apps without running out of space.

This cellphone features WiFi connection (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a modem or router), 4G LTE fast connection type and also HSPA+ data connection, which is a slower 4G technology and fast 3G data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The Lumia 550 works with a Nano SIM card for GSM services.

This phone comes with a 2100 mAh inmense replaceable battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you may find yourself looking for a place to charge it if you use it heavily. Microsoft reports a 672 hours stand by time and a 16 hs talk time for this phone.

Microsoft offers the Lumia 550 for 185 dollars, which is not cheap for comparing with other similar cellphones. No matter if you need a device for work, are a photography fan, will use it as a social device or want a gaming cellphone, you will probably love this cellphone.
