Motorola DROID Mini Review

Motorola DROID Mini is a fascinating Android device launched back in the year 2013, packing a 4.3 inches screen, a great 1.7 GHz Dual-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 10 MP back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

Motorola decided to power this device with a Motorola X8 chip, holding a high performance 1.7 GHz Dual-Core CPU and a huge 2 GB of RAM memory. This cellphone comes with a 16 GB quite big internal memory and while it doesn't count with an external memory slot, it is enough to store a couple hundred games and applications, but it may not be enough if you are planning to install a couple of the heaviest games available nowadays or taking tons of photos and videos.

It appears that Motorola forgot about weight optimization in this 4.59 oz device. Talking about its design materials, this cellphone is manufactured with Kevlar, which gives it a high quality finish. This phone is only 4.77" long and 2.41 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 4.3" display. This cellphone has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 10 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. It is capable of filming 1920x1080 Full HD videos. In addition, the camera has auto-focus and flash.

This phone has a beautiful 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.3 inches display, which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels composing the display. This display uses LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The Motorola DROID Mini counts with a mid sized 2000 mAh battery, which is not really enough for a thirsty device like this.

This phone has wifi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) fast data connection and 3G fast internet connection, over HSUPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a Nano SIM card for GSM services and it can use both CDMA and GSM carriers.

The Motorola DROID Mini also comes with plenty of great features like Wireless charging capability, NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your cellphone close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

This cellphone is priced 300 dollars, which is expensive for a device this level. No matter whether you need a phone to mostly use social networks, are a photography fan, will use it for gaming or are looking for a work cellphone, this cellphone is the right choice for you.
