Nokia Asha 230 Review

(RM-987)     See other variants reviews Score: 40.8 / 100

Nokia Asha 230 is an outdated cellphone, packed with a great performance Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1200 MHz, a small 2.8" touch-screen and a 1.3 MP back camera. Let's take a better view of what this phone can do.

Nokia made this phone in multiple color variations: black, yellow, green, blue, red and white. Nokia made a really good design job making the Nokia Asha 230 weight only 3.15 oz. This cellphone isn't a compact phone, taking into account that it is 3.92 inches long and 2.31" wide, but it just contains a 2.8 inches screen. This cellphone is a little bit thick for today's standards, with its 0.52 inches thickness.

Nokia designed this device with a nice 2.8-inches screen, and a resolution of 320 x 240 (QVGA), which makes everything look quite nice. This screen uses LCD capacitive technology, but it can't detect multi touch gestures.

Nokia decided to equip this phone with a powerful 1200 MHz Dual-Core processing unit, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8225 chip and only 64 MB of RAM memory. To help with graphic calculations, it also uses an Adreno 203 graphic processing unit clocking at 245 MHz.

This phone only features a 1.3 mega-pixels back camera. this phone's back camera has an aperture of f/2.8 so it's problems taking sharp photos in poor lighting environments. The Nokia Asha 230 also shoots 320x240 QVGA videos at 25 fps. In addition, the camera counts with digital image stabilization.

This phone counts with a 1020 mAh small sized Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it even after moderate use. This phone has an aproximate stand by time of 792 hours and a talk time of 11 hours.

The Nokia Asha 230 features 3G internet connection, over EDGE technologies. The Nokia Asha 230 uses a Micro SIM card to use GSM services.

This phone also features Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth cellphones and accessories), and a couple sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This phone is being sold for about 269 dollars, expensive for a phone this level. This cellphone includes Quick guide, Nokia Battery BL-5C , Nokia Stereo Headset WH-108 and Nokia Charger AC-18.
