Nokia C6-01 Review

Nokia C6-01 is a little outdated Symbian cellphone released some years ago, in 2010, packing a 3.2 inches screen, a processor ticking at 680 MHz, an 8 MP back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera.

This phone is a bit thick for today's standards, being as thick as 0.55". In this case, Nokia forgot about optimizing the weight, leaving it live with a weight of 4.62 oz.

Nokia decided to power this cellphone using a fast 680 megahertz processing unit with just 256 MB RAM. This phone counts with a 348,16 MB internal storage, a mediocre quantity that may be adequate for some users considering it also has a slot for external memory cards to store pictures and videos and even some applications that allow external memory installation.

This phone is equipped with a interesting 640 x 360 3.2 inches screen, providing this phone with a very nice graphic quality. This screen uses AMOLED capacitive technology, but it can't detect multi touch gestures.

This phone counts with WiFi connection (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a modem) and the fastest 3G connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM networks.

This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front side camera. the Nokia C6-01's back facing camera has a maximum f/2.8 aperture so it has serious problems taking nice photos in low-light situations. It also shoots videos in HD 1280x720 at 25 frames per second. Additionally, the camera counts with a few good features like face detection shooting, flash and geo tagging.

The Nokia C6-01 has a poor 1050 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this phone with a below average battery duration. This cellphone has an estimated stand by time of 420 hs and a talk time of 12 hours according to Nokia.

The Nokia C6-01 also comes with a few nice features such as Bluetooth (3.0, EDR) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is not a good choice considering it is priced $ 199, and other similar cellphones are offerred way cheaper than that.
