Palm Pixi Review

Palm Pixi is a low-end device released in 2009, which features a 2 megapixels back-facing camera and a small sized 2.6-inches display. We will get a better idea about this cellphone's wonders when we get into more details.

A nice advantage of the Palm Pixi is its big 8 GB internal storage and though it doesn't have an SD extension slot, it is enough to store hundreds of applications, although it may not be suitable if you are planning to install a couple of the heaviest games available nowadays.

Palm appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 3.51 oz device. Whereas this cellphone is quite thin it's not even close to being one of the thinnest cellphones out there, with a thickness of 0.43". Whereas this cellphone is 4.37" long, it only packs a smaller 2.6 inches screen.

This cellphone includes a good level 2.6" screen with a 400 x 320 resolution, giving this device a mid level graphical experience. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The Palm Pixi only features a 2 MP back side camera. To complete the camera, it also includes flash.

This phone offers 3G internet connection, supported by EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a sim card, because it isn't a GSM cellphone and it works in CDMA carriers.

This cellphone also comes with a couple of interesting characteristics as Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and a couple sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

The Palm Pixi has a low capacity 1150 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep this phone running for some hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some moderate use. Palm afirms this cellphone has a 350 hs stand by time and a 5 hs talk time.

This phone is really overpriced considering it costs $ 100, while some similar devices can be found for much less money.
