Palm Pre Review

Palm Pre is a not very powerful webOS cellphone launched back in 2009, with a 3 megapixels back facing camera, a 3.1 inches display and a megahertz processor.

This phone is quite thick compared to current cellphones, with its 0.67 inches thickness. Palm didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.76 ounces phone, much heavier than other similar cellphones.

Palm packed this cellphone with a good level 3.1 inches display, and a resolution of 480 x 320 , giving this cellphone a nice graphic quality. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone is equipped with a powerful megahertz processor. This device has an 8 GB quite large internal memory and even though it doesn't count with a slot for an SD memory card, it should be enough to install hundreds of apps, although it might not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games available nowadays.

This phone only has a 3 megapixels back-facing camera. The camera also features flash and geo tagging.

The Palm Pre counts with a small 1150 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is quite poor for a thirsty cellphone like this. Palm claims this cellphone has a 300 hs stand by time and a 5 hs talk time.

This phone features WiFi connection (but it can't share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G data connection, over EV-DO A technologies. This phone doesn't have a sim card, because it's not a GSM phone and it works in CDMA carriers.

This device also includes a handful of nice features as Bluetooth (enables communication with other cellphones and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

Palm offers the Palm Pre for 100 dollars, which is expensive for a phone this level.
