Samsung Focus Flash Review

Samsung Focus Flash is a nice phone launched some years ago, in 2011, featuring a 3.7-inches display, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a powerful processing unit ticking at 1.4 GHz. We will get a better understanding of this cellphone's features when we get into deeper details.

Samsung decided to build this phone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 chip, packing a good performance processor clocking at 1.4 gigahertz with 512 MB of RAM memory. Handling graphic calculations, this cellphone also uses a 245 MHz Adreno 205 GPU. This cellphone counts with a quite large 8 GB internal storage memory and although it doesn't have an external memory card slot, it is enough to store a couple hundred applications, but it might not be enough if you are fan of the largest games available nowadays.

It appears that Samsung forgot about weight optimization in this 4.1 oz cellphone. The Samsung Focus Flash's thickness (0.43 inches) is a little bit far from nowadays standards, but it still feels right in the hand.

Samsung equipped this phone with a good level 3.7" display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels taking part of the display. Its display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Samsung Focus Flash only has a 5 megapixels back side camera. It is also able to shoot videos in HD 1280x720. In addition, the camera counts with auto-focus and flash.

The Samsung Focus Flash has Wi-Fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ internet connection, that is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and fast 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Samsung Focus Flash works with a SIM card for GSM networks.

This cellphone also includes plenty of useful characteristics as NFC, Bluetooth (allows communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories), GPS and FM Radio, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

The Samsung Focus Flash features a medium 1500 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this cellphone running for some hours, but you may need to charge it even after moderate use. Samsung informs a talk time of 6.5 hours and a stand by time of 250 hours for this device.

The Samsung Focus Flash costs about 200 dollars, which is a really high price for comparing with similar cellphones.
