Samsung Galaxy S II Review

Samsung Galaxy S II is an impressive Android device launched back in 2011, featuring a very powerful 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processing unit, a 4.3" capacitive touch-screen, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 2 MP front side camera.

Samsung ships this phone with a Samsung Exynos 4210 system chip, which holds a high speed Dual-Core processing unit running at 1200 megahertz with only 1 GB RAM which is a little low for such a good phone. Helping with graphic rendering, it also counts with an ARM Mali-400 GPU running at 500 megahertz. A key aspect of this phone is the 32 GB inmense internal storage memory and an external SD slot, allowing the user to install tons of applications, games, songs, photos and videos without worrying about filling it.

The S II has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.33 inches. Although this cellphone is only 4.93 inches long, it manages to hold a 4.3 inches display. This phone is offerred in 2 colors, black and white. This device feels much lighter than what you would expect from a cellphone of this size.

Samsung packed this cellphone with a nice 4.3" screen, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , making everything look beautiful. Its screen uses Super AMOLED Plus capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This cellphone offers wifi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ (4G) connection type, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast internet connection, using HSDPA, HSPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM services.

This phone has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 2 megapixels front-facing camera. This phone also films Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. The camera also features some interesting features like flash, smile detection shooting, auto-focus and geo tagging.

This phone also comes with some useful features such as NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The S II has a 1650 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion removable battery, which is quite low for a thirsty phone like this. According to Samsung, this cellphone has an aproximate talk time of 18.3 hs and a stand by time of 710 hours.

This phone is probably a little bit expensive considering it costs 190 dollars, while many similar phones are being sold cheaper than that.
