Samsung Galaxy Stellar Review

(SCH-I200) Score: 61 / 100

Samsung Galaxy Stellar is a solid Android phone, which counts with a 1200 megahertz Dual-Core processing unit, a medium 4-inches multi-touch screen, a 3.2 MP back side camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera.

Apparently Samsung decided not to care much about the weight in this 4.73 ounces phone.

This phone is powered by a fast Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1200 MHz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chip with 1 GB of RAM memory. To collaborate with graphic intensive applications and games, it also counts with an Adreno 225 graphic processing unit ticking at 400 megahertz. The Stellar counts with a decent 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good considering that it also has a slot for an SD memory card to store photos and videos.

This phone features two cameras, a 3.2 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. It can also film 640x480 VGA videos at 30 frames per second. Additionally, this phone's camera also features a couple of interesting characteristics: smile detection shooting, auto-focus and geo tagging.

Samsung packed this phone with a interesting 4 inches display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, giving this phone a very nice graphic quality. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Stellar has wi-fi capability (and it can provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) high performance data connection and 3G internet connection, supported by EV-DO A technologies. The Stellar doesn't use a sim card, because it is not a GSM phone and it works with CDMA carriers.

This device uses a 2100 mAh amazing Li-Ion battery, which isn't very much for a phone like this. This cellphone has a reported 216 hours stand by time and a 17 hours talk time.

The Samsung Galaxy Stellar also features a few nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone is not a very good choice considering it costs 250 dollars, and other similar phones are sold for much less than that. No matter if you want it for gaming, will use this phone mainly for internet broswing and social networks or will use this phone for work, this cellphone is definitely the correct choice for you.
