Sony Ericsson Xperia X10a is a not so powerful device, packing a fast processor running at 1000 MHz, a 4" multi-touch capacitive display and an 8.1 MP back camera.
Sony decided to equip this cellphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 QSD8250 system chip, packing a powerful processor speeding at 1 GHz and only 256 MB of RAM. Graphic calculations usually consume a lot of CPU processing time, so it has an additional 128 megahertz Adreno 200 graphic processing unit to help with that calculations. This phone counts with a 1 GB internal memory, a small amount that may be adequate for some users knowing that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10a also has a slot for SD memory cards to store songs, pictures and videos.
Apparently Sony forgot about optimizing the weight in this 4.76 oz phone. This phone is a bit thick compared to nowadays phones, with a thickness of 0.51 inches.
This device includes a good level 854 x 480 4" display, which makes everything look colorful and brightful. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This phone has only an 8.1 mega-pixels back side camera. It is also able to shoot videos in 1280x720 (HD). This camera also features lots of great characteristics like flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.
This cellphone comes with a mid capacity 1500 mAh Li-Polymer removable battery, which is quite poor for a demanding phone like this. Sony claims this device has a 415 hours stand by time and a 10 hs talk time.
This phone counts with wi-fi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot) and 3G fast internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM services.
This cellphone also comes with some useful characteristics as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone is being sold for about 349 dollars, very expensive for comparing with other similar devices.
