Samsung Fascinate Review

Samsung Fascinate is a good Android phone released in June 2010, having a 5 MP back facing camera, a 4 inches multi-touch display and a 1 GHz processing unit. Let's take a closer sight of what this device can do.

Samsung decided to power this cellphone using a fast processor clocking at 1000 megahertz, packed into the Samsung Exynos 3 system chip and only 384 MB RAM memory. Helping with graphic intensive apps, this phone also counts with a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit. This device comes with a 2 GB internal storage, a passable amount that should be fine for the average user considering that it also has a slot for an SD memory card to store songs, photographs and videos.

Samsung made an excellent optimization job making this device weight just 4.16 oz. The Samsung Fascinate is very thin, with a thickness of just 0.39 inches.

The Samsung Fascinate only has a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera. It also films videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 frames per second. In addition, this phone's camera also includes a few good features like auto-focus, flash, smile detection shooting and fast burst mode.

Samsung designed this device with a nice 4" display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , providing this cellphone with a very nice graphic quality. This display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The Samsung Fascinate uses a 1500 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will probably need to charge it after some moderate use. According to Samsung, the Samsung Fascinate has a reported 312 hours stand by time and a 7 hours talk time.

This phone features Wi-Fi connection (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G connectivity, over EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM services and it works in CDMA carriers.

The Samsung Fascinate also features a couple of cool features like Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth cellphones and accessories) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Samsung is selling this phone for $ 85, which is not very cheap for a cellphone this level. The Samsung Fascinate is the right one for you if you are looking for a phone to mainly use social networks and internet browsing.
