T-Mobile G2x Review

(P999) Score: 47.2 / 100

T-Mobile G2x is a decent Android cellphone released many years ago, coming with a 4 inches display, a great performance Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1000 megahertz, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. Let's take a better sight of what this device can give us.

T-Mobile ships this device with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 system chip, packing a powerful 1 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit and 512 MB RAM memory. A nice advantage of this phone is its quite large 8 GB internal memory and a slot for external memory cards, which allows the user to install hundreds of games and apps without any problem.

This cellphone is quite slim and practical, while it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones currently available, with a thickness of 0.4 inches. T-Mobile appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5 oz phone.

The T-Mobile G2x has two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front camera. This phone also shoots videos in Full HD 1920x1080. In addition, the camera has multiple useful characteristics like flash, auto-focus, fast burst mode, digital image stabilization, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.

T-Mobile packed this cellphone with a interesting 4 inches display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , providing this cellphone with a good image quality. Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This phone counts with wifi connection (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This device also includes some cool features as Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth phones and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone features a medium sized 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage. According to T-Mobile, this cellphone has an aproximate 7.8 hs talk time and a 400 hs stand by time.

This device is not a good choice considering it is offerred for $ 550, while some similar cellphones cost much less than that.
