ZTE Engage MT Review

ZTE Engage MT is a fair quality cellphone, packed with a medium sized 4-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a great performance 1000 MHz CPU, and 2 cameras, a 3.2 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. But it's time to get into much more details.

The ZTE Engage MT is only available in color white. The ZTE Engage MT is extremely thin and good-looking, being just 0.39" thick. This phone feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 5.19 ounces.

ZTE decided to sell this device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8655 system chip, which holds a fast 1 GHz CPU with 1 GB RAM memory. Graphic rendering often consume a lot of processor cycles, so it also uses an Adreno 205 GPU working at 245 MHz to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks.

This phone features two cameras, a 3.2 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera. This camera also features a couple of interesting characteristics like flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.

This phone has a very good 800 x 480 4-inches display, providing this cellphone with a nice graphical experience. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The ZTE Engage MT features a 1900 mAh medium sized Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides this phone a quite short battery duration. ZTE reports a stand by time of 480 hs and a talk time of 8.3 hs for this phone.

This cellphone counts with WiFi capability (and it can be shared with other devices acting as a modem or router) and 3G internet connection, using EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM services and it works in CDMA carriers.

This cellphone also features a few useful features like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS Navigation, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

ZTE offers this cellphone for $ 155, which is a high price for this type of phone.
