LG Optimus 7 Review

(E900) Score: 50 / 100

LG Optimus 7 is a little bit outdated device released back in 2010, having a 1000 megahertz processor, a medium sized 3.8" screen and a 5 megapixels back camera.

This device is quite slim and practical, whereas it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones on sale, with a thickness of 0.45". LG didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.54 oz phone, much heavier than other similar devices.

LG decided to build this cellphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 QSD8650 chip, backed up by a good performance 1000 megahertz processor. Graphic rendering often consume lots of CPU processing time, so this device uses an extra 128 megahertz Adreno 200 GPU to improve overall performance. This phone has a quite large 16 GB internal storage and whereas it doesn't have a slot for SD memory cards, it is enough to install a couple hundred apps, although it probably wouldn't be suitable if you are planning to install some of the heaviest games available nowadays or taking tons of pictures and videos.

This cellphone is only equipped with a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. It can also shoot videos in HD 1280x720. Additionally, this cellphone's camera also features flash and auto-focus.

LG equipped the LG Optimus 7 with a good looking 3.8 inches screen, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , which makes everything look vivid. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This phone uses a 1500 mAh medium sized Li-Ion battery that can keep this cellphone running for some hours, although you will need to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage. According to LG, this phone has an aproximate stand by time of 400 hs and a talk time of 7 hs.

This cellphone includes wi-fi connectivity (although it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a wireless router or modem) and fast 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card to use GSM services.

The LG Optimus 7 also includes a few nice features like Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth cellphones, computers and accessories), GPS Localization and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

LG is offering this cellphone for 130 dollars, which is not cheap for this type of cellphone.
