Samsung Galaxy Young is a quite good phone launched some years ago, in 2013, with a 3.3" display, a good performance processor speeding at 1 GHz and a 3 mega-pixels back camera.
This time, it seems like Samsung decided not to care so much about the weight in this 3.95 oz device. Samsung sells the Young in a wide range of color variations like blue, red, white and gray.
Samsung packed this phone with a good level 3.3" display, and a resolution of 480 x 320 , providing this cellphone with a decent graphic quality. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
The Young is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A chip, which holds a powerful CPU clocking at 1 gigahertz and 768 MB of RAM memory. Graphic rendering often consume lots of CPU time, so this phone also has an extra Adreno 200 GPU ticking at 128 MHz to unload the CPU. The Young comes with a 4 GB internal storage memory, a medium quantity that should be enough for the average user knowing that it also has an SD card slot to store photos and videos.
The Samsung Galaxy Young is equipped with only a 3 MP back facing camera. It is also able to capture videos in VGA 640x480 at 24 frames per second. To complete the camera, it also includes smile detection shooting.
This cellphone has wi-fi connectivity (which it can share with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device comes with 2 SIM cards to be able to to use 2 different phone lines or carriers at the same time.
This phone counts with a 1300 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion battery providing this phone with a quite short battery life.
This cellphone also includes a couple cool features like Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Localization, and some sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone is not a very good choice considering it is sold for 120 dollars, while other similar phones are being sold much cheaper than that. No matter if you need a device to mostly use social networks or want a gaming phone, this cellphone is the correct choice .
