ZTE Grand X Pro Review

ZTE Grand X Pro is a decently made phone, which features a medium sized 4.5" multi-touch screen, a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processing unit, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front side camera. That's everything we have to say? Not at all, it's just the beginning of this extreme review.

ZTE decided to design the ZTE Grand X Pro using a MediaTek MT6577T system chip, which holds a fast 1.2 GHz Dual-Core CPU and 1 GB RAM. Handling graphic calculations, it also has a 200 MHz PowerVR SGX531 GPU. This device counts with a decent 4 GB internal memory, which is fine having that it also has an SD card slot to store songs, photos and videos.

ZTE made this cellphone in many different color variations: black, yellow, blue and red. It seems like ZTE didn't care much about the weight in this 5.15 oz cellphone. This cellphone is a compact device, taking into consideration it has a 4.5 inches screen and it is just 5.22 inches long and 2.54" wide. The ZTE Grand X Pro has an inspired design, with a thickness of just 0.37".

The ZTE Grand X Pro has an amazing 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.5-inches screen, giving this device a delightful graphical experience. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This cellphone features wi-fi capability (which it can share with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card to use GSM services.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. Its back facing camera lens has an aperture of F2.8 so it's quite hard to take nice pictures in low-light conditions. It is also able to capture videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 frames per second. Additionally, this phone's camera also has a few nice characteristics like auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

This phone also features a couple of useful features such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone uses a mid sized 2000 mAh Li-Ion removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding device like this. According to ZTE, this cellphone has an aproximate stand by time of 500 hours and a talk time of 11.3 hours.

This cellphone is really overvalued considering it is sold for 155 dollars, and some similar phones cost a lot less than that. This phone is very appropiate if you are looking for a cellphone to mainly use social networks and internet browsing.
