Sony Xperia L Review

Sony Xperia L is a solid Android device launched in March 2013, equipped with a powerful Dual-Core CPU running at 1 GHz, a medium 4.3 inches display, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera.

This phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8230 chip, packing a good performance 1 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit and 1 GB of RAM. Handling graphic calculations, this device also uses a 450 megahertz Adreno 305 graphics processing unit. A nice feature of this device is its 8 GB quite big internal storage and an external memory card slot, which allows you to store hundreds of apps and games without running out of space.

Sony appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.83 ounces cellphone. The Sony Xperia L is sold in three different color options, black, red and white. This phone is slim and practical, being just 0.38 inches thick.

Sony designed this cellphone with a good level 4.3 inches screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , giving this phone a very nice image quality. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The Sony Xperia L has two cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 0.3 megapixels front camera. It also captures videos in 1280x720 (HD). Additionally, the camera includes a high number of interesting features like flash, auto-focus, face detection shooting, smile detection shooting, geo tagging and HDR mode.

This cellphone features a mid sized 1750 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite low for a phone like this. Sony afirms this cellphone has a 498 hours stand by time and a 8.5 hs talk time.

This phone includes Wi-Fi capability (and it can provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ (4G) connection type, which is not as fast as LTE networks and 3G fast connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM services.

This cellphone also features a few cool features as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Sony is selling this phone for $ 145, which is a really high price for this kind of phone. No matter if you need a phone mainly for internet broswing and social networks or want it for playing games, this phone is the right choice .
