ARCHOS 97 neon is a quite basic tablet, provisioned with a 9.7 inches multi-touch screen, a high performance 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor, and 2 cameras, a 2 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera.
This tablet's thickness of 0.45 inches is a little bit far from today's standards, but it still feels fine in the user's hand. Though this device just has 9.49" long, it is still able to fit a a 9.7 inches display. This tablet doesn't feel very lightweight comparing with today standards, with a weight of 22.86 ounces.
Archos sells the ARCHOS 97 neon with a high performance Quad-Core processing unit ticking at 1.6 GHz. Graphic rendering often uses lots of processing power, so this device also counts with an ARM Mali-400 graphic processing unit running at 500 MHz to help with that calculations.
This tablet counts with wifi connection (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a wireless router). The ARCHOS 97 neon doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't work with GSM connections.
This tablet has two cameras, a 2 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera.
This tablet also comes with some useful features such as Bluetooth (provides communication with other bluetooth tablet devices and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This tablet is not a very good choice considering it is priced 249 dollars, and some similar tablets cost a lot less than that.
