Asus Transformer Pad Review

Asus Transformer Pad is a mid level tablet, which counts with an extremely powerful 1.86 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit, a big size 10.1" multi touch capacitive display, and two cameras, a 2 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera. Let's take a better view of what this tablet device has to offer.

The Asus Transformer Pad is equipped with a great 1.86 GHz Dual-Core processor, included in the Intel Atom Z3745 chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little disappointing for a portable tablet of this quality. A good aspect of the Asus Transformer Pad is its quite large 16 GB internal memory and an external SD slot, allowing you to install a couple hundred applications and games without any problem.

This tablet is just 0.39" thick, taking it to the thinnest tablet's category. The Asus Transformer Pad is a very compact tablet device, considering it features a 10.1 inches screen and it has just 10.14 inches long and 7.02" wide. Asus made a really good job making this tablet as lightweight as 19.4 oz.

The Asus Transformer Pad is equipped with two cameras, a 2 megapixels back side camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera.

Asus packed the Asus Transformer Pad with a interesting 10.1 inches display, and a 800 x 1280 resolution, which makes everything look nice. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The Asus Transformer Pad counts with wi-fi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot). This tablet doesn't use a SIM card, because it isn't a GSM enabled tablet.

This tablet also includes a couple of useful characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other tablets and accessories) and GPS, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Asus is offering the Asus Transformer Pad for $ 399.99, which is not a good offer for a portable tablet this level.
