ViewSonic gTablet is an outdated Android device, having a huge 10.1" capacitive touch-screen, a powerful 1 gigahertz Dual-Core CPU and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera.
Viewsonic decided to design this tablet using a fast Dual-Core CPU running at 1 GHz, packed into a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip and 512 MB of RAM. A nice advantage of this tablet is its 16 GB quite large internal memory and an external memory card slot, enough to store a couple hundred apps without any problem.
The ViewSonic gTablet is a bit thick compared to nowadays portable tablets, being as thick as 0.54 inches. The ViewSonic gTablet is a very compact tablet device, taking into account that it features a 10.1" display and it is only 10.5" long. The ViewSonic gTablet is available just in black color. This tablet is a bit heavy comparing to other portable tablets , weighting 24.8 oz.
This device is only equipped with a 1.3 MP front camera.
The ViewSonic gTablet has a poor 10.1" display with a 600 x 1024 resolution, making images look less detailed. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This tablet uses a 3650 mAh inmense Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this device with an incredible battery duration. An issue to consider is that the ViewSonic gTablet's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it begins to lose capacity, while with this big battery you will probably replace this device before it becomes an issue.
This tablet provides WiFi capability (which can be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot). The ViewSonic gTablet doesn't use a SIM card, because it is not a GSM tablet.
The ViewSonic gTablet also comes with Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), and a few sensors likeLight Sensor and Accelerometer.
Viewsonic sells this tablet for $ 129, which is not cheap for a portable tablet this level.
