Comparison review
Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone AR's 77.4 general score. Even though the Galaxy A8 Star is heavier than the Asus ZenFone AR, it's thinner and also newer. Galaxy A8 Star has a bit more powerful processing unit than Asus ZenFone AR, and although they both have 6 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy A8 Star also has more cores.
The Asus ZenFone AR has a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a greater pixel quantity per display inch. The Asus ZenFone AR captures slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has slower video frame rate and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking images in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Asus ZenFone AR also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a much more mega pixels back-facing camera.
Asus ZenFone AR features a very superior storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has more internal memory and an external memory card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bit longer battery performance than Asus ZenFone AR, because it has a 12% larger battery capacity.
