The Google Pixel XL has a global score of 81.3, which is a little bit better than Huawei P20's 78.1 score. The Google Pixel XL is an older, thicker and just a little bit heavier phone than Huawei P20. Huawei P20 has a bit superior CPU than Google Pixel XL, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei P20 also has a larger number of cores (and faster).
Google Pixel XL features a little sharper display than Huawei P20, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a just a bit better count of pixels per display inch. Google Pixel XL has as much memory capacity for apps and games as Huawei P20, they have exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Google Pixel XL counts with a little longer battery life than Huawei P20, because it has a 3450mAh battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P20. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Google Pixel XL, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei P20, giving up a couple specs and features.
