The Samsung Galaxy A12 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s, getting an 80.3 score against 76.4. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A12 has the previous 10 version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Samsung Galaxy A12's body is much newer than Xiaomi Mi 5s's, although it is notably heavier and just a bit thicker.
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A12, because although it has a lot smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and way more pixels per screen inch. Galaxy A12 features a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Galaxy A12 also has a larger number of cores (and they are faster).
The Samsung Galaxy A12 has a lot bigger memory to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports up to 1 TB. Galaxy A12 features a really longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 3200mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 captures a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A12 also has a lot more mega pixels back camera.
