Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy M31s has a global score of 88, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy M30s's 83.3 general score. Both of these phones work with the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding OS features. The Samsung Galaxy M31s is a newer phone than Samsung Galaxy M30s, but it is just a bit heavier and just a bit thicker.
Samsung Galaxy M31s features a display that's just as good as the Galaxy M30s one, although the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has a little larger screen, a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a quite greater count of pixels per screen inch. Galaxy M31s features a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy M30s, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy M31s also has more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy M31s captures slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy M30s, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has a camera in the back with lot more mega pixels, a bigger sensor providing a higher image quality and a larger camera aperture.
The Galaxy M31s features a lot bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy M30s, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 512 GB, the Galaxy M31s also has 64 GB more internal storage capacity. Galaxy M31s's battery duration is just as good as Galaxy M30s's battery duration.
