Comparison review
Galaxy M31 is much better than Xiaomi Mi 5s, having a global score of 86.5 against 76.4. Both of these phones use Android OS, but the Galaxy M31 has the older 11 version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Galaxy M31 design is way newer than Xiaomi Mi 5s's, but it is heavier and just a little bit thicker.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 features a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores. Xiaomi Mi 5s has a little sharper screen than Galaxy M31, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a quite lower 1080 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a little better display density and a brighter display.
Samsung Galaxy M31 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also has a larger diafragm aperture for better photos and video in low light situations, a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera and a way larger back camera sensor capturing way better quality photos and videos.
Galaxy M31 has a greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy M31 features a really longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
