Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a bit better than Sony Xperia 5, getting a global score of 87.1 against 81. Even being the best phone in our current comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 design is older, somewhat heavier and just a little thicker than the Sony Xperia 5. Sony Xperia 5's processor is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Note9 one, they have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount.
Samsung Galaxy Note9 features just a bit better display than Xperia 5, because it has a little larger display, a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution and a bit better display density. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5, and although they both have a 12 mega-pixels back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has better 60 fps video frame rates, a larger camera aperture for better captures in low-light environments and a larger camera sensor.
Xperia 5 has as much memory capacity for games and applications as the Samsung Galaxy Note9, both of them have exactly the same internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 features improved battery performance than Xperia 5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
