Xperia XZ3 has a general score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s's overall score of 76.4. Even though Xperia XZ3 is extremely newer than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, it is heavier and thicker. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia XZ3 has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, giving you some nice extra features and enhanced performance.
Sony Xperia XZ3 features a little bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a greater number of cores. Xperia XZ3 has a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a bit opaque screen, it also counts with a bigger display, a lot better 1440 x 2880 resolution and a higher display density.
Xperia XZ3 features a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a same size aperture, the same video frame rates, a same size sensor and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ3 also has a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels. The Xperia XZ3 features a bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 512 GB.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 features just a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity against 3200mAh.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi 5s. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ3, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Mi 5s, letting go some features and specs.
