The Galaxy A8 Star is much better than the Xiaomi Mi-3, getting an 82.1 score against 71.6. The Galaxy A8 Star design is heavier but just a bit thinner than Xiaomi Mi-3. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi-3 has Android 4.4.2, so it provides some nice extra features.
The Xiaomi Mi-3 has a brighter screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a little more pixels per screen inch. Galaxy A8 Star's processing unit is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi-3 one, because although the Galaxy A8 Star has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with 4 GB more RAM memory and more processing cores (although slower).
Galaxy A8 Star has a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi-3, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 400 GB. Galaxy A8 Star shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has a back camera with more megapixels, a lot better (4K) video resolution and a lot larger diafragm aperture.
The Galaxy A8 Star has superior battery life than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has a 21% more battery capacity.
