Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha Review

Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha is a solid Android device, equipped with a fast Quad-Core processor ticking at 1.2 gigahertz, a 4.7" touch-screen, a 13.1 megapixels back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera. That's everything we have to say? No, it's only the tip of the iceberg.

This cellphone ships with a powerful 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor with 1 GB of RAM memory. A good point of this cellphone is its 16 GB quite big internal storage memory and though it doesn't include a slot for SD memory cards, it is enough to install hundreds of applications and games, although it might not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available.

Alcatel is offering this phone in black color. This phone is just 0.3" thick, making it one of the thinnest phones out there. This cellphone only has 5.43 inches long and 2.62 inches wide, but it's still able to fit a a 4.7 inches display.

The Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha is equipped with two cameras, a 13.1 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. It is capable of capturing videos in Full HD 1920x1080. To complete the camera, it also includes auto-focus and flash.

The Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha has a gorgeous 4.7-inches display with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes all images and videos look vivid and colorful. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone packs a 2000 mAh medium sized removable battery providing this cellphone with a not very long battery duration. According to Alcatel, the Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha has an estimated stand by time of 720 hs and a talk time of 20 hours.

This phone counts with wi-fi connection (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, which is not as fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and fast 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM networks.

This cellphone also includes a couple of interesting features such as Bluetooth (enables communication with other phones and accessories) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Alcatel OneTouch Idol Alpha costs about 249 dollars, not a really offer for this type of cellphone. This phone is probably a great choice no matter whether you want a social phone or will use it as a gamer cellphone.
