Alcatel OneTouch Snap Review

Alcatel OneTouch Snap is an interesting cellphone released back in 2013, provisioned with a medium sized 4.5" touch-screen, a high speed 1200 MHz Quad-Core processing unit, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

This cellphone is much lighter than what you expect from a cellphone like this. This cellphone has a beautiful design, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches. This phone just has 5.13" long and 2.64 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 4.5" display.

Alcatel ships the Alcatel OneTouch Snap with a very fast 1.2 GHz Quad-Core CPU, included in a MediaTek MT6589 chip and only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit poor for such a good phone. Graphic calculations often consume lots of processing power, so this cellphone also also has a 384 MHz PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. The Alcatel OneTouch Snap has a 4 GB internal storage, a common amount that should be fine for the majority of users having that it also has an SD memory slot .

The Alcatel OneTouch Snap includes a nice 4.5-inches screen with a 960 x 540 resolution, giving this phone a good graphical experience. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The Alcatel OneTouch Snap has two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It is also able to capture videos in HD 1280x720. The camera also has flash.

This cellphone provides wi-fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ data connection, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and the fastest 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM carriers.

This cellphone uses a mid capacity 1800 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that provides this phone a not very long battery life. Alcatel claims this cellphone has a stand by time of 440 hs and a talk time of 11 hs.

This cellphone also features a handful of useful features like Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Alcatel offers the Alcatel OneTouch Snap for $ 249, which is expensive for comparing with similar cellphones. No matter whether you want it for gaming or are looking for a social cellphone, you will probably love this phone.
