Motorola RAZR Review

Motorola RAZR is a quite good phone launched in 2011, packing a high-tech 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor, a medium 4.3-inches display, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera.

Motorola made the Motorola RAZRavailable just in two different colors, black and white. Talking about its body design materials, this cellphone is mainly manufactured with Kevlar, giving it a premium look and improved resistance. This phone has a beautiful design, with a thickness of just 0.28". Motorola made a great job making this cellphone weight just 4.48 ounces.

The Motorola RAZR is powered by a TI OMAP4430 chip, holding a high speed 1200 megahertz Dual-Core processor and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit poor for such a good cellphone. To help with graphic calculations, it also uses a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit working at 304 megahertz. A nice advantage of this phone is its 16 GB quite big internal storage and an external SD slot, which allows you to store a couple hundred applications without worrying about space.

The Motorola RAZR includes a very good 4.3" screen with a 960 x 540 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels that compose the screen. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The Motorola RAZR provides WiFi connection (but it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a hotspot) and the fastest 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM services.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. It can also capture Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 frames per second, and 720x480 slow-motion videos up to 120 frames per second (4 times slower ). The camera also has a couple of nice features: flash, auto-focus and digital image stabilization.

This cellphone comes with a mid sized 1780 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will need to charge it after some moderate use. This phone has an aproximate stand by time of 204 hours and a talk time of 12.5 hs. A big issue to evaluate is that this cellphone's battery isn't removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts losing capacity, having to buy a new phone to "solve it".

This phone also features a handful of nice features such as Bluetooth and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Motorola is offering the Motorola RAZR for 135 dollars, which is a rather high price for comparing with similar cellphones. If you are looking for a social cellphone or want this phone for gaming, you will probably love this cellphone.
