BlackBerry Torch 9810 is a decent quality device released some years ago, in 2011, counting with a good performance 1.2 gigahertz CPU, a 3.2-inches multi-touch capacitive screen and a 5 megapixels back camera. But it's time to get into a bit more details.
It appears that Blackberry totally forgot about weight optimization, releasing it with a 5.68 oz weight. This cellphone is sold in two color options, white and gray. Even though this phone has 4.37 inches long and 2.44 inches wide, it only comes with a much smaller 3.2" screen. This cellphone is a bit thick compared to nowadays cellphones, with a thickness of 0.57".
The BlackBerry Torch 9810 has a good level 640 x 480 (VGA) 3.2" screen, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels in the screen. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
Blackberry decided to design the BlackBerry Torch 9810 using a good performance processing unit clocking at 1.2 GHz with 768 MB RAM memory. Graphic calculations usually consume lots of CPU time, so it also counts with an ARM Mali-400 MP1 graphic processing unit running at 320 megahertz to take some work out of the CPU. A nice point of the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is its 8 GB quite big internal storage and a slot for an external memory card, which allows the user to store a couple hundred apps without running out of space.
This phone includes Wi-Fi connection (but it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot) and 3G fast connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 works with a SIM card for GSM networks.
This device only has a 5 MP back side camera. It is capable of capturing videos in HD 1280x720. This camera also counts with many cool features: auto-focus, flash, fast burst mode, digital image stabilization, geo tagging and face detection shooting.
The BlackBerry Torch 9810 also includes a few interesting features such as Bluetooth (provides communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone has a mid capacity 1270 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep this device running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it if you use it heavily. This cellphone has a reported 307 hours stand by time and a 6.5 hs talk time.
Blackberry sells the BlackBerry Torch 9810 for $ 80, which is not cheap for this type of device.
