BLU Studio 5.0 LTE Review

BLU Studio 5.0 LTE is a decent Android cellphone, coming with a good size 5 inches multi-touch screen, a Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 1.4 GHz, and two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.6 MP front camera.

This phone is equipped with a high speed 1400 MHz Quad-Core processor, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little disappointing for such a powerful phone. Graphic intensive tasks generally consume a lot of processor cycles, so the BLU Studio 5.0 LTE uses an extra Adreno 305 graphics processing unit clocking at 450 MHz to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. This phone comes with a moderate 4 GB internal storage memory, which is adequate for most users considering the BLU Studio 5.0 LTE also has an SD extension slot to store photos and videos.

This phone is thin and practical, with a thickness of just 0.35". While this cellphone just has 5.73" long, it is still able to fit a a 5 inches display. BLU has made an excellent design job making this cellphone weight only 5.71 ounces. BLU is offering this cellphone in 3 different colors: pink, green and white.

The BLU Studio 5.0 LTE is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 1.6 MP front-facing camera. It is also able to film videos in Full HD 1920x1080. In addition, this phone's camera also has a few nice characteristics: flash, smile detection shooting, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

BLU designed this device with a good looking 5-inches screen, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , making everything look vivid. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This phone counts with a 2000 mAh medium battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it even after moderate use. This cellphone has a reported 22 hs talk time and a 800 hours stand by time according to BLU.

This phone includes wifi capability (which it can provide to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G fast connection and also HSPA+ data connection, a lower speed 4G type and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The BLU Studio 5.0 LTE uses a Micro SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone also features some useful features like Bluetooth, GPS Navigation and Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The BLU Studio 5.0 LTE is not very cheap considering it is sold for 115 dollars, while some similar devices can be found for much less money.
