GIGABYTE GSmart Guru Review

GIGABYTE GSmart Guru is a good phone, which counts with a big 5-inches multi touch screen, a high-tech 1500 megahertz Quad-Core CPU, and two cameras, a 13 megapixels back camera and a 5 mega-pixels front facing camera.

This cellphone feels much lighter than what one would think about a cellphone like this. The GIGABYTE GSmart Guru is available just in color black. Even though the GIGABYTE GSmart Guru is only 5.79" long, it's still able to fit a a 5" display. Being just 0.28 inches thick,this cellphone is incredibly thin and stilized.

This device is powered by an extremely fast 1500 MHz Quad-Core processor, bundled in the MediaTek MT6589T chip and a large 2 GB of RAM. Graphic calculations often consume lots of processing time, so it also has a 384 MHz PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit to help handle those graphic tasks. A good point of this cellphone is its 32 GB large internal storage and while it doesn't include a slot for external memory cards, it it is more than enough to install lots of applications, games, songs, photos and videos without worrying about how much memory is left.

This phone includes a great 5 inches screen with a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, which makes everything look absolutely great. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This phone includes wi-fi capability (but it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a wireless modem or router), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This phone has two cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back side camera and a 5 megapixels front-facing camera. It is also able to film videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also has some nice features: flash, geo tagging and face detection shooting.

This phone also features some nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (4.0), GPS and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone packs a 2500 mAh big capacity Li-Polymer non-removable battery, enough to provide this cellphone with a marvelous battery duration. Gigabyte says this phone has a 250 hours stand by time and a 10.5 hs talk time. An issue to evaluate is that the GIGABYTE GSmart Guru's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to lose capacity, whereas with such a big battery you will probably discard this device before that becomes an issue.

This phone is not cheap at all considering it is offerred for $ 155, while some similar cellphones cost a lot less than that. No matter whether you will use this cellphone for playing games or will use it as a social phone, this phone is definitely a great choice for you.
