HTC Desire 501 Review

Dual SIM     See other variants reviews Score: 56 / 100

HTC Desire 501 is a bit outdated phone, which counts with a 4.3 inches multi-touch screen, a 1 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2.1 mega-pixels front camera. We will get a better understanding of this phone's wonders when we get into deeper details.

HTC has made a really good optimization job making this device weight only 4.59 oz. The HTC Desire 501 is thin and comfortable, being just 0.39" thick.

HTC designed this phone with a nice 4.3" display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes all pictures and videos look very good. Its display uses S-LCD 2 capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

HTC equipped this device with a NovaThor U8500 system chip, holding a good performance Dual-Core processor speeding at 1000 MHz and 1 GB of RAM memory. Graphic rendering generally eats lots of CPU time, so this cellphone also has an extra ARM Mali-400 MP1 graphics processing unit clocking at 320 MHz to take care of them, leaving the CPU free for other tasks. This phone comes with an 8 GB interesting internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards, enough to install hundreds of applications without any trouble.

This phone offers Wi-Fi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot). This phone comes with 2 SIM cards so it can to use two different phone numbers at the same time.

This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2.1 MP front side camera. This cellphone also includes flash and auto-focus.

This cellphone comes with a big 2100 mAh removable battery that can keep it running for several hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it too much.

This phone also comes with a couple of nice features like NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone costs 155 dollars, not cheap for a phone this level. No matter if you want it mostly for internet broswing and social networks or will use it to play tons of games, you will probably love this device.
