HTC One max is a completely fascinating Android phone launched in 2013, counting with a very fast Quad-Core processor clocking at 1.7 GHz, an enormous 5.9 inches capacitive display, and 2 cameras, a 4 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2.1 mega-pixels front camera.
Although this cellphone is quite slim it's not even close to being one of the thinnest cellphones in the market, with a thickness of 0.41 inches. This device is a very compact cellphone, considering it has a 5.9 inches display and it is only 6.48" long. This time, it seems like HTC forgot about optimizing the weight in this 7.65 oz cellphone. About its materials quality, this cellphone is mostly manufactured with Aluminium, which gives it a quality look and a better resistance.
The HTC One max is equipped with a gorgeous 5.9 inches display with a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, providing this cellphone with a high level graphic quality. Its display uses S-LCD 3 capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
This cellphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T system chip, which holds a very fast 1.7 gigahertz Quad-Core CPU and a large 2 GB of RAM memory. Graphic calculations usually eats a lot of CPU cycles, so it has an extra Adreno 320 GPU ticking at 400 MHz to take some work out of the processor. A good advantage of the HTC One max is its inmense 32 GB internal storage memory and a slot for an SD memory card, enough to store tons of applications, games, songs, pictures and videos without thinking about how much memory is left.
The HTC One max counts with WiFi capability (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) high performance data connection and also HSPA+ connection type, which is a slower 4G network and the fastest 3G internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device works with a Micro SIM card for GSM networks and it works with both GSM and CDMA.
The HTC One max is equipped with two cameras, a 4 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2.1 megapixels front side camera. the HTC One max's back facing camera lens has an aperture of 2 so it can capture beautiful photos even in low-light environments. It also films videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps, and slow-motion videos in (HD) (1280x720) up to 60 frames per second (2 times slower than normal videos). This device also features a few useful characteristics like auto-focus, flash, digital image stabilization, HDR mode and geo tagging.
This phone comes with a big capacity 3300 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery, enough to provide the HTC One max with an incredibly long battery duration. This device has a reported 393 hours stand by time and a 28 hs talk time. An issue to take into consideration is that the HTC One max's battery is not replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, whereas with this big battery you will probably discard this cellphone before that becomes an issue.
The HTC One max also comes with a lot of interesting characteristics such as Fingerprint Identification, Near Field Communication (NFC), Infrared Blaster, Bluetooth (for communication with other phones and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
The HTC One max might not be such a good choice considering it costs $ 275, and some similar phones are being sold for less than that. It doesn't matter whether you will use this phone to play games, want it to take lots of photos, are looking for a social cellphone or are looking for a cellphone for work, you will probably be very pleased with it.
