HTC Pure is a decent Windows Mobile Professional phone launched in 2009, packing a 3.2 inches touch-screen, a good 528 megahertz processor and a 5 mega-pixels back camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's only the tip of the iceberg.
In this case, HTC totally forgot about weight optimization, releasing a 4.13 ounces heavyweight product. This phone is a little thick for nowadays standards, with its 0.59" thickness. This cellphone isn't really a compact device, taking into account that it is 4.33 inches long and 2.1" wide, but it only packs a 3.2 inches display.
HTC decided to power this phone with a Qualcomm MSM7201A system chip, holding a quite powerful processor speeding at 528 MHz and only 288 MB RAM.
This phone is equipped with only a 5 mega-pixels back camera. Additionally, the camera has auto-focus.
HTC equipped this phone with a good looking 3.2-inches display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , which makes everything look very good. This display uses TFT resistive technology, but it can't detect multi touch gestures.
The HTC Pure provides wifi connection (but it can't be provided to other devices acting as a modem or router) and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card for GSM connection.
This cellphone also includes a few interesting characteristics as Bluetooth (2.0, EDR) and GPS Geolocation, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor and Accelerometer.
This cellphone has a mediocre 1100 mAh Li-Polymer removable battery, which is quite poor for a demanding phone like this. This device has an aproximate 5 hs talk time and a 360 hs stand by time according to HTC.
This cellphone is being sold for about 300 dollars, which is expensive for comparing with other similar phones.
