Karbonn Sparkle V Review

Score: 49.5 / 100

Karbonn Sparkle V is a decent Android phone, packing a 4.5-inches multi-touch display, a high performance 1.3 GHz Quad-Core CPU, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera.

Karbonn is offering this device in color red. Being just 0.36 inches thick, this device is incredibly slim and good-looking. Whereas this phone is only 5.2 inches long and 2.64 inches wide, it manages to pack a 4.5 inches screen. Karbonn did a great job making this cellphone weight only 3.77 ounces.

Karbonn decided to equip this phone with a very fast 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor, included in the MediaTek MT6582 chip and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit low for a cellphone this powerful. Graphic intensive applications usually eats a lot of CPU time, so this phone also has an ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU ticking at 416 megahertz to improve overall performance. This cellphone has a 4 GB internal storage, a common amount that should be adequate for most users considering this cellphone also has a slot for an external memory card .

This cellphone is equipped with a good looking 854 x 480 4.5" display, which makes all pictures and movies look vivid. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. It also captures videos in 1280x720 (HD). In addition, the camera has some good features: auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone packs a mid sized 1700 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep this cellphone running for some hours, although you will need to charge it after some moderate use. This cellphone has a reported stand by time of 160 hours and a talk time of 8 hs according to Karbonn.

This cellphone has wi-fi connectivity (which can be provided to other devices acting as a router) and 3G fast internet connection, over HSPA and EDGE technologies. This phone has 2 SIM cards so it's able to use two different carriers or phone lines.

This device also comes with a couple cool features such as Bluetooth, GPS Geolocation and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This device is really overvalued considering it costs 249 dollars, and many similar cellphones cost much less than that.
