Kyocera Hydro Edge is a decently made cellphone, including a great performance 1000 MHz Dual-Core processor, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 4 inches multi touch screen.
Kyocera just offers this cellphone in black color. This device is just 0.39 inches thick, taking it to the thinnest cellphone's category. It appears that Kyocera forgot about weight optimization in this 4.5 ounces phone.
This phone includes a good looking 4" screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes all photos and videos look great. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
Kyocera decided to power this cellphone using a fast Dual-Core processor speeding at 1000 megahertz, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with 1 GB RAM memory.
The Kyocera Hydro Edge offers WiFi connectivity (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a wireless modem or router). The Kyocera Hydro Edge doesn't have a sim card, because it isn't a GSM phone and it works in CDMA carriers.
This device has only a 5 megapixels back side camera. Additionally, the camera features a couple of useful features: flash, face detection shooting, fast burst mode, HDR mode and smile detection shooting.
The Kyocera Hydro Edge features a 1600 mAh medium Li-Ion removable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage.
This cellphone also includes a couple of nice features like Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices and accessories) and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone is not very cheap considering it is sold for $ 249, while other similar phones are offerred way cheaper than that.
