LG Optimus Black Review

LG Optimus Black is a not so powerful Android phone released some years ago, in 2011, including a processor running at 1 GHz, a 4 inches multi touch screen, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front side camera.

This device is much lighter than what you expect from a device like this. This cellphone is just 0.36 inches thick, taking it to the thinnest device's category.

LG decided to build this phone with a powerful processor ticking at 1 gigahertz with 512 MB RAM memory. To help with graphic calculations, it also has an ARM Mali-400 MP1 GPU ticking at 320 MHz. The LG Optimus Black comes with a 1 GB internal storage, a mediocre quantity that could be enough for some users knowing that this phone also has an external memory slot to store photos and videos.

This cellphone is equipped with a nice 4-inches display with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels taking part of the display. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This device features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. The camera also counts with flash.

This cellphone offers wifi connectivity (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot) and the fastest 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card for GSM services.

This cellphone also includes a few cool features like Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This device features a 1500 mAh medium sized Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite poor for a consuming phone like this. LG reports a talk time of 6 hours and a stand by time of 350 hs for this cellphone.

This phone is very expensive considering it is sold for 220 dollars, while other similar devices can be found for much less money.
