Motorola ATRIX 4G is a mid-level cellphone launched some years ago, in 2011, with a medium 4-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a fast Dual-Core processor ticking at 1000 MHz, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 megapixels front facing camera.
Motorola decided to build this cellphone with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip, backed up by a powerful Dual-Core CPU running at 1 GHz with 1 GB RAM. A good advantage of this cellphone is the 16 GB quite large internal storage memory and a slot for an external memory card, enough to store hundreds of apps and games without any problem.
This cellphone is thin, even though it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones currently available, with a thickness of 0.43 inches. Apparently Motorola forgot about optimizing the weight in this 4.76 ounces cellphone.
This phone features two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. this phone's back-facing camera lens has an aperture of f/2.8 so it struggles to take good photos in poor lighting conditions. The Motorola ATRIX 4G can also capture videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps. Additionally, the camera features a few good characteristics: auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.
Motorola equipped the Motorola ATRIX 4G with a good looking 4" screen, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , making everything look very nice.
This cellphone offers Wi-Fi connection (but it can't provide it to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.
The Motorola ATRIX 4G also includes a couple of interesting features such as Bluetooth (enables communication with other cellphones and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone uses a 1930 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this cellphone with a poor battery duration. Motorola says this device has a 8.8 hs talk time and a 264 hours stand by time.
Motorola is selling the Motorola ATRIX 4G for 170 dollars, which is a high price for a cellphone this level. This cellphone is probably the right one no matter if you need a cellphone to mainly use social networks and internet browsing or will use this phone for gaming.
