LG Optimus L3 Review

(E400) Score: 47.4 / 100

LG Optimus L3 is a little outdated device launched many years ago, having a good performance 800 megahertz processor, a medium 3.2-inches touch-screen and a 3.2 MP back camera. But it's time to get into some more detail.

LG decided to build this phone using a powerful 800 MHz CPU, packed into the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A system chip with as little as 384 MB of RAM memory. To help with graphic intensive apps and games, the LG Optimus L3 also uses a 200 MHz Adreno 200 (enhanced) GPU. The LG Optimus L3 counts with a poor 1 GB internal memory, which could be enough for some users knowing that this phone also has a slot for an external memory card to store pictures and videos and even some applications that allow external memory installation.

LG sells the LG Optimus L3 in two colors, black and white. LG didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.2 ounces device. While the LG Optimus L3 is slim and comfortable it's not even close to being one of the thinnest phones in the market, with a thickness of 0.46 inches.

This phone has a low level 320 x 240 (QVGA) 3.2" display, which makes display pixels too big and noticeable. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This phone has only a 3.2 MP back-facing camera. This device also films videos in 640x480 (VGA). Additionally, the camera includes geo tagging.

This cellphone features Wi-Fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a modem) and 3G fast data connection, supported by HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The LG Optimus L3 uses a SIM card for GSM networks.

This phone also includes a couple interesting features like Bluetooth (allows communication with other phones and accessories), GPS Localization and Radio, and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This phone features a medium sized 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides this phone a poor battery life comparing with other similar devices. LG claims this phone has a stand by time of 600 hours and a talk time of 12.5 hs.

This cellphone costs around 80 dollars, not a good offer for this type of cellphone.
