LG Optimus One Review

(P500) Score: 44.5 / 100

LG Optimus One is a decent quality Android phone launched back in 2010, having a medium sized 3.2-inches multi touch screen, a 3 mega-pixels back side camera and a processor ticking at 600 MHz.

The LG Optimus One comes with a fast 600 MHz processing unit, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 chip. Graphic intensive applications and games generally eats a lot of CPU processing time, so it uses a 128 megahertz Adreno 200 GPU to help with that calculations. The LG Optimus One has a 174,08 MB internal storage, which may be enough for some users considering it also has an external memory card slot to store songs, photos and videos and even some apps and games that allow external memory installation.

This cellphone isn't a very compact cellphone, considering it is 4.47 inches long, but it just holds a 3.2" screen. This cellphone is a little thick for today's standards, with a thickness of 0.52 inches. It seems like LG didn't care so much about the weight in this 4.55 oz phone.

The LG Optimus One only has a 3 mega-pixels back-facing camera. It can also film videos up to 640x480 (VGA) at 17 fps. In addition, the camera counts with a couple of interesting characteristics like face detection shooting, auto-focus and geo tagging.

This device includes a interesting 480 x 320 3.2 inches display, which makes all photos and videos look good. Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This device features a good 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage. LG informs a stand by time of 450 hs and a talk time of 5 hs for this phone.

This phone has wi-fi capability (although it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast internet connection, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The LG Optimus One works with a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This phone also features a few cool characteristics as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS Localization and FM Radio, and a couple sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The LG Optimus One is really overpriced considering it is offerred for 199 dollars, and some similar cellphones are offerred way cheaper than that.
