Samsung Galaxy Ace is a decent Android cellphone launched in January 2011, packed with a 3.5" multi touch screen, a quite powerful 800 MHz processor and a 5 MP back-facing camera. But let's get into more details.
This cellphone doesn't feel very lightweight for a cellphone of this size, weighting 3.99 oz. This cellphone's thickness of 0.45 inches is a little far from nowadays standards, but it still feels quite comfortable in the user's hand.
Samsung equipped this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 chip, including a powerful 800 MHz processor. To help with graphic intensive apps and games, it also has a 128 MHz Adreno 200 graphics processing unit. The Ace counts with a small 161,79 MB internal memory, which may be enough for some users considering that it also has an external memory card slot to store songs, photos and videos and even some games and apps that allow being installed in the external memory.
This phone has a nice 480 x 320 3.5" display, making everything look nice. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
The Ace features wi-fi connection (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a hotspot) and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Ace works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.
This phone has only a 5 MP back camera. It is capable of filming videos in QVGA 320x240 at 20 fps. This camera also features some interesting characteristics like auto-focus, flash, fast burst mode and smile detection shooting.
This device has a medium 1350 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides this device a quite short battery life. According to Samsung, this cellphone has an estimated stand by time of 640 hs and a talk time of 11 hs.
The Ace also comes with a couple of interesting features like Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Localization, and some sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
Samsung offers this cellphone for 100 dollars, which is not a good offer for a phone this level.
