Nokia Lumia 822 Review

Nokia Lumia 822 is a good device launched in 2012, having a great Dual-Core processing unit running at 1.5 GHz, a 4.3 inches multi-touch capacitive screen, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front side camera.

Nokia appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.99 oz phone. While this phone is thin it's not as slim as many other cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.44 inches. Nokia made the Lumia 822 in three different color options: black, red and white.

The Nokia Lumia 822 has a good level 4.3" display with a 800 x 480 resolution, making everything look colorful and brightful. This display uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

Nokia decided to power this cellphone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip, packing an extremely powerful 1500 megahertz Dual-Core processor with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit disappointing considering its great processor. Helping with graphic calculations, this phone also has a 400 MHz Adreno 225 GPU. The Nokia Lumia 822 has aquite big 16 GB internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card, which allows you to store a couple hundred applications and games without any problem.

The Nokia Lumia 822 counts with wi-fi connection (which it can share with other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) fast connectivity and also HSPA+ connectivity, that is a bit slower 4G technology and the fastest 3G connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM connection and it works with both CDMA and GSM carriers.

This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front camera. This cellphone can also shoot 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps. Additionally, this phone's camera also has flash.

This phone also features some nice features such as NFC, Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone has a medium sized 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep this phone running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it even after moderate use. This phone has an aproximate stand by time of 254 hours and a talk time of 10.3 hours according to Nokia.

Nokia offers this cellphone for 300 dollars, which is not a good offer for this kind of phone. If you want it for work, you love taking pictures, are looking for a cellphone to mainly use social networks or need a cellphone for playing games, you will probably love this cellphone.
