(N98) Score: 51.2 / 100Nokia N8 is a mid level cellphone released back in 2010, packing a powerful processor ticking at 680 megahertz, a medium 3.5 inches multi touch display, and two cameras, a 12.1 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera.
Nokia decided to power this device with a good 680 MHz processing unit with only 256 MB of RAM memory. The Nokia N8 counts with a quite large 16 GB internal storage memory and an external memory slot, enough to store hundreds of games and applications without any problem.
The Nokia N8 is quite thick for nowadays standards, with its 0.51" thickness. This cellphone is offerred in a wide range of color variations: black, gray, pink, orange, green and blue. Nokia didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.76 oz device, much heavier than other similar devices.
This phone features two cameras, a 12.1 mega-pixels back camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. Its back camera lens has a maximum 2.8 aperture so it's serious problems taking nice photos in poorly lit environments. This cellphone also captures videos up to 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps. In addition, this phone's camera also features a couple of good features: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting and geo tagging.
This phone is equipped with a interesting 640 x 360 3.5" display, which makes all photos and movies look vivid. This display uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This cellphone features wi-fi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM connection.
The Nokia N8 also includes some cool features like Bluetooth and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone has a 1200 mAh small capacity Li-Ion removable battery that can keep it running for some hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it heavily. According to Nokia, the Nokia N8 has a reported talk time of 12 hours and a stand by time of 390 hs.
Nokia is offering this cellphone for $ 350, which is a very high price for comparing with similar phones.
