Pantech Breakout Review
Score: 44.9 / 100Pantech Breakout is a decently made Android device launched back in the year 2011, with a great performance 1000 megahertz CPU, a 4" touch-screen, and 2 cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera.
Pantech decided to design this phone using a fast processor speeding at 1 GHz and 512 MB RAM. The Pantech Breakout counts with a poor 399,36 MB internal memory, which may be enough for some users knowing that it also has an external memory slot to store songs, photographs and videos.
Pantech didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.86 oz cellphone.
The Pantech Breakout features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It is also able to film videos in HD 1280x720. To complete the camera, it also has auto-focus.
Pantech packed this cellphone with a interesting 4" display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, giving this cellphone a very good graphical experience. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
This phone has a mid sized 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is not really enough for a demanding cellphone like this. Pantech says this phone has a 5.8 hours talk time and a 303 hs stand by time.
The Pantech Breakout counts with wi-fi connection (which can be provided to other devices acting as a wireless router), LTE 4G fast connectivity and 3G internet connection, over EV-DO A technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a sim card, because it is not a GSM enabled cellphone and it can connect to CDMA carriers.
This cellphone also comes with a couple nice characteristics as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Navigation, and a couple sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
Pantech is offering the Pantech Breakout for 360 dollars, which is a really high price for comparing with other similar phones.
