Samsung Galaxy Mini Review

Samsung Galaxy Mini is a mid-to-low level Android cellphone launched in 2011, coming with a 3 megapixels back-facing camera, a small sized 3.1 inches display and a quite powerful CPU running at 600 megahertz.

This cellphone ships with a good processing unit speeding at 600 MHz, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 chip. Handling graphic intensive games and apps, this cellphone also uses a 128 MHz Adreno 200 graphics processing unit. This cellphone counts with a 163,84 MB internal storage memory, a low amount that could be adequate for some basic users knowing that it also has an external memory card slot to store pictures and videos and even some apps and games that allow being installed in the external memory.

This cellphone isn't really a compact phone, given that it is 4.35" long,but it only packs a 3.1 inches display. Samsung didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 3.76 ounces phone.

This cellphone includes a mediocre 320 x 240 (QVGA) 3.1" screen, making everything in the screen lose details and definition. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This phone is only equipped with a 3 MP back side camera. It is also able to capture QVGA 320x240 videos at 15 fps.

This cellphone uses a 1200 mAh small capacity Li-Ion battery that provides this cellphone a below average battery durationcompared to other phones. According to Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Mini has an aproximate stand by time of 570 hs and a talk time of 9.5 hours.

This cellphone has Wi-Fi capability (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a router or modem) and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Mini uses a SIM card for GSM networks.

The Mini also comes with a handful of cool features like Bluetooth (enables communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and some sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is being sold for about $ 700, high for this kind of cellphone.
