Nokia Lumia 610 Review

Nokia Lumia 610 is a decent phone released in February 2012, equipped with a good processor ticking at 800 MHz, a 3.7 inches multi-touch capacitive screen and a 5 MP back camera. We will get a better understanding of this device's characteristics when we get into more details.

Nokia decided to build this cellphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A system chip, including a good processing unit speeding at 800 MHz and only 256 MB RAM memory. Graphic calculations generally eats a lot of CPU processing time, so it uses an extra 200 megahertz Adreno 200 (enhanced) GPU to improve overall performance. A good advantage of this device is its quite big 8 GB internal memory and even though it doesn't include a slot for external memory cards, it should be enough to store hundreds of games and applications, although it probably wouldn't be enough if you are fan of the heaviest games available nowadays or taking tons of photos and videos.

The Nokia Lumia 610 doesn't feel very lightweight for a cellphone of this size, with a weight of 4.64 oz. The Lumia 610 is offerred in multiple colors like black, pink, blue and white.

This phone includes a interesting 3.7" display with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes all images and movies look very good. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This phone is equipped with only a 5 mega-pixels back side camera. It can also film videos in 640x480 (VGA) at 30 fps. In addition, this device's camera also has some interesting features: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone packs a medium sized 1300 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this cellphone with a quite short battery duration. Nokia claims this device has a 580 hours stand by time and a 6.5 hours talk time.

This cellphone has wifi connection (and it can be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Lumia 610 works with a Micro SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone also comes with a couple of cool characteristics like Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
