Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Review

without NFC     See other variants reviews Score: 61 / 100

Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is a pretty good Android phone launched in 2013, featuring a powerful 1200 megahertz Dual-Core CPU, a 4.3 inches multi-touch display, an 8 mega-pixels back camera and a 2 MP front facing camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S II Plus feels much lighter than what one would expect from a phone of this size. The S II Plus is a compact device, considering it presents a 4.3 inches screen and it has just 4.93" long. This phone is incredibly thin and stilized, being just 0.33 inches thick.

The S II Plus is equipped with a very good 4.3 inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, making everything look very good. Its screen uses Super AMOLED Plus capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This phone is equipped with a fast 1200 MHz Dual-Core processor, packed into a Broadcom BCM28155 system chip and 1 GB RAM memory. This cellphone has an 8 GB quite big internal storage memory and a slot for an external memory card, which allows you to store hundreds of applications and games without running out of space.

The Samsung Galaxy S II Plus offers Wi-Fi capability (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE 4G networks and 3G fast connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card for GSM networks.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 MP front side camera. It also films videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. The camera also includes a couple of nice features: flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.

This cellphone uses a 1650 mAh medium Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will probably need to charge it if you use it heavily. Samsung informs a 350 hours stand by time and a 16 hours talk time for this cellphone.

This phone also includes a handful of interesting characteristics like Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Samsung sells this phone for $ 249, which is not cheap for a device this level. This phone is probably a great option if you you love taking photographs, want it for playing games, are looking for a social cellphone or want a phone for work.
